Taking a career break can be both exciting and daunting. Some breaks are carefully planned, while others are unexpected.
Join us for an online ‘Connect & Chat’ to hear first-hand what it’s really like to take time out from work. This session will include a talk, discussion, and the opportunity to connect with other women working in sustainability about career breaks — and the challenges and opportunities they bring.
Our speaker, Natalie Sinha, recently took a career break and has no regrets. She’ll share her honest reflections on:
- How she decided to take time out
- What life was like during her sabbatical
- How it felt returning to work afterwards
Natalie will also offer practical tips and insights to help you decide whether a career break or sabbatical might be right for you.
Her philosophy is simple: “If you ever have the chance to take a break, and it’s something you’ve thought about — just do it. Working life is very long, and life is too short.”
Join us for a supportive, informal session to learn, connect, and share ideas.

There’s no set agenda: just a few questions to reflect on and similar women to connect with where you can share your feelings and ideas with over a virtual coffee. We hope you leave feeling lighter, energised and more connected.
‘Buy us a coffee’
‘She is Sustainable’ is entirely volunteer-led non-profit community interest company set up to empower women working in sustainability.
