A one-day workshop for women* care deeply about making a difference, but are really feeling the weight of responsibility right now.

Let’s be honest: it’s tough out there right now.

For many of working in sustainability, the landscape feels more challenging than it did a few years ago. Shifting political priorities, tightening budgets and competing business pressures can make it difficult to maintain momentum and keep others engaged. Sometimes it can feel like you’re constantly making the case for sustainability or reporting, with little time to celebrate progress or recharge your own energy.

To help you through this, the ‘She Is Sustainable’ team are pleased to share another of our much‑loved workshops: Staying the Course: Maintaining Resilience and Momentum in Sustainability.

This workshop is for you if you care deeply about making a difference but are feeling the weight of carrying that responsibility right now; whether you’re the lone sustainability voice in your organisation, part of a small team navigating shifting priorities, or simply feeling a little deflated by the current climate.

This workshop gives you a chance to step back and explore practical ways to keep creating positive change, even when the path ahead feels unclear. Together, we’ll share experiences, learn from inspiring speakers and develop fresh approaches for influencing others, building resilience and maintaining momentum. You’ll be in good company alongside other sustainability professionals from across sectors who are looking for:

  • New ideas and practical tools
  • Honest conversations about the realities of the profession
  • Inspiration and encouragement from their peers
  • Fresh approaches to creating change and influencing stakeholders
  • A chance to pause, reflect and reconnect with what matters most

You’ll also get to hear from some incredible women on how they’ve faced the big questions behind their work, including Soiltaire Townsend – Chief Solutionist at Futerra.

As one previous participant shared:

“I came away feeling inspired to do more, full of confidence, and much more reassured about my career and life in general.”

What to expect

Across the day, we’ll combine facilitated peer‑coaching, reflective exercises alongside hearing first-hand the personal experiences of the from women working at senior levels in climate and sustainability who have already navigated the uncertainties you’re facing now.

Our approach is deliberately flexible and participant‑led, allowing space for the questions you’re brewing right now. Expect honesty, depth  and connections that stay with you long after the day ends.

During the day, you’ll get to:

  1. Hear first-hand the experiences of other women who have already navigated uncertainty in sustainability.
  2. Support on staying resilient with facilitated sessions and peer-coaching.
  3. Gain new answers and perspectives on some of the biggest challenges affecting you right now in a collaborative, open-space workshops.
  4. Create new connections with over 30 other women facing similar challenges to you.

This event is being generously hosted by Arcadis in their London office including lunch & refreshments.
